These Terms and Conditions govern your use of AssetChekd and your purchase and use of vehicle-history reports supplied through the AssetChekd service.
Please read these Terms before purchasing a report. By placing an order, you agree to these Terms.
1. About AssetChekd

When you purchase an AssetChekd report, your contract is with AssetChekd Ltd.
AssetChekd currently provides vehicle-history reports for consumer use. Services and pricing for motor-trade and other business customers may be introduced separately and may be subject to different terms.
2. Our vehicle-history reports
AssetChekd provides vehicle information and vehicle-history reports using information obtained from public records, official sources, commercial databases and third-party data providers.
Depending on the report purchased and the information available for a particular vehicle, a report may include information relating to:
- vehicle identity and specification;
- MOT history and recorded mileage;
- tax and registration information;
- previous keeper information;
- outstanding finance;
- insurance write-off and damage records;
- theft records;
- salvage auction records;
- registration plate and V5C history;
- import and export markers;
- emissions and other technical information; and
- other available vehicle-history records.
The exact information available varies between vehicles and data sources.
The absence of a record from an AssetChekd report does not necessarily mean that an event has never occurred.
3. Third-party information
A significant proportion of the information contained in AssetChekd reports originates from third-party databases, public bodies and other external information providers.
AssetChekd does not create or independently verify every underlying record.
Although we take reasonable care in selecting and integrating our information sources, we cannot guarantee that information supplied by third parties will always be complete, accurate, current or free from errors.
Records may be delayed, incorrectly entered, subsequently amended or unavailable to a particular data provider.
You should independently verify information that is particularly important to your decision before purchasing a vehicle.
4. The AssetChekd Score
Some reports include an AssetChekd Score.
The AssetChekd Score is generated using AssetChekd's assessment methodology and the vehicle information available when the report is generated.
The score may take into account factors such as MOT history, mileage consistency, recorded damage or insurance write-offs, finance records, theft information, salvage history, vehicle identity information and other available vehicle-history indicators.
The AssetChekd Score is provided as an informational indicator only.
It is not a vehicle valuation, mechanical assessment, warranty, guarantee, prediction of future reliability or recommendation to purchase or avoid a vehicle.
A high score does not guarantee that a vehicle is free from defects, undisclosed history or future problems. A lower score does not necessarily mean that a vehicle is unsuitable for purchase.
You should read the complete report rather than relying solely on the AssetChekd Score.
5. Prices
The standard price of one AssetChekd Premium Report is currently £24.99.
AssetChekd may offer promotional or introductory prices. Our current introductory offer is £19.99 for one Premium Report.
The price payable will be clearly displayed before you complete your purchase.
We may change our prices or promotional offers at any time. Changes will not affect reports already purchased.
6. Ordering a report
You are responsible for entering the correct vehicle registration number or other requested vehicle details.
Please check the registration carefully before completing your purchase.
Reports are generated specifically for the vehicle requested. Once generation has begun, we may be unable to change the vehicle associated with the order.
AssetChekd is not responsible for a report being generated for the wrong vehicle where you supplied an incorrect registration or other incorrect vehicle information.
7. Report delivery
Premium reports are normally generated automatically and immediately following successful payment.
Once generated, your report will be made available through your customer account.
Although reports are normally generated within a short period, temporary technical issues or interruptions involving external data providers may occasionally cause delays.
If payment has been taken but your report cannot be generated or accessed, please contact info@assetchekd.co.uk so that we can investigate.
8. Digital content and your right to cancel
AssetChekd reports are digital content generated specifically for the vehicle requested by you.
When purchasing a report, you request that AssetChekd begins supplying that digital content immediately rather than waiting until the normal cancellation period has expired.
Where required by law, we will obtain your express consent to begin supplying the digital content immediately and your acknowledgement that your right to cancel will be lost once supply of the digital content begins.
Once the requested report has been successfully generated and supplied following that consent and acknowledgement, you will normally no longer have a change-of-mind right to cancel.
This does not affect your statutory rights where digital content is faulty, not as described or has not been supplied correctly.
UK rules specifically require express consent and acknowledgement of the loss of the cancellation right before digital content is supplied during the cancellation period.
9. Refunds and problems with reports
Where applicable, report includes a 12 month, £10,000 Experian-backed indemnity. Terms and conditions for the Experian Data Guarantee including details of how to claim and the limits of protection can be found at www.experian.co.uk/data-guarantee. All claims in respect of Data Guarantees must be made and handled by Experian directly.
Because reports are generated specifically for the vehicle requested and data is obtained when the report is produced, refunds are not normally available after a report has been successfully generated and supplied.
We will, however, investigate circumstances including where:
- payment has been taken but no report was generated;
- a technical problem prevents you from accessing the report you purchased;
- you received a report for a different vehicle despite entering the correct vehicle information; or
- the service has otherwise not been supplied as described.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or restricts your statutory consumer rights.

10. Date of the report
An AssetChekd report represents information available to our systems and data providers at the time the report is generated.
A vehicle's circumstances and associated records can change afterwards.
For example, finance, theft, registration, MOT, mileage, damage, salvage or other records may subsequently be added, amended or removed.
A previously generated report should therefore not be assumed to represent the vehicle's current status indefinitely.
If a significant amount of time has passed since a report was generated, you should consider obtaining a new check before purchasing the vehicle.
11. Vehicle inspections and mechanical condition
AssetChekd provides recorded vehicle-history information. We do not physically inspect vehicles.
A report does not guarantee a vehicle's mechanical condition, physical condition, roadworthiness, safety, authenticity or current market value.
Before purchasing a used vehicle, you should inspect the vehicle and its documentation and consider obtaining an independent professional or mechanical inspection where appropriate.
You should also check that identifying information physically displayed on the vehicle, including its VIN/chassis number, corresponds with its documentation.
12. Mileage
Mileage information may originate from MOT records and other available data sources.
Any mileage-consistency analysis is based on the records available to AssetChekd.
A consistent recorded mileage history does not guarantee that a vehicle's odometer has never been altered or that every recorded mileage is correct.
13. Finance, theft, damage and other markers
Where a report identifies outstanding finance, theft, insurance damage, write-off, salvage, identity or another potentially significant marker, you should investigate it before purchasing or otherwise acquiring the vehicle.
AssetChekd does not have authority to remove, amend or resolve records maintained by third parties.
A dispute concerning an underlying record may therefore need to be raised with the organisation responsible for that information.
14. Personal and permitted use
AssetChekd's consumer reports are supplied for your own personal and non-commercial use.
You must not, without our permission:
- resell or commercially redistribute reports;
- systematically reproduce or extract report data;
- scrape or use automated systems to collect AssetChekd content;
- create a competing database or vehicle-history service using AssetChekd information; or
- attempt to circumvent payment, access or security controls.
Separate products and terms may be introduced for motor traders and business users.
15. Intellectual property
The AssetChekd website, branding, report design, AssetChekd Score methodology, original written content, graphics and other original materials are owned by or licensed to AssetChekd Ltd unless otherwise stated.
Underlying vehicle information may originate from third-party data providers and remain subject to their respective rights.
Purchasing a report permits you to use that report for your personal purposes. It does not transfer ownership of our intellectual property to you.
16. Service availability
We aim to keep AssetChekd available and functioning reliably but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability.
The service may occasionally be unavailable due to maintenance, technical failures, security measures or interruptions affecting third-party systems and data providers.
We may modify, suspend or discontinue parts of the service where reasonably necessary.
17. Our responsibility to you
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or liability that cannot be excluded under consumer law.
AssetChekd is not responsible for inaccurate, incomplete or delayed third-party information where we have exercised reasonable care in providing the service.
Our reports are intended to assist your decision-making. The decision whether to purchase, sell or otherwise deal with a vehicle remains yours.
We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when our contract with you was formed.
18. Your account
You are responsible for keeping your customer-account credentials secure.
Please contact us promptly if you believe your AssetChekd account has been accessed without permission.
19. Personal information
We process personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
20. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as our service, prices, data providers or legal obligations change.
The Terms applicable to a purchase will normally be those in effect when your order was placed.
The latest version will be published on the AssetChekd website.
21. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the United Kingdom, you may also benefit from mandatory protections available under the law applicable where you live.
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
